The massive breach at Target and other organizations has sparked renewed interest in credit card data protection measures. According to a 2012 Payment Security Practices Survey, Sixty-seven percent of organizations were still not in full compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This is coupled with a recent Ponemon Institute study that found 94 percent of health care organizations experienced at least one data breach during the previous two years.
