WebMD to Power Michigan BCBS Wellness Platform

Through a partnership with WebMD Health Services, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan will offer a new online wellness platform – including a health assessment, digital health assistant, and health information – along with other wellness programs to its group and individual members later this year.

BCBS executives say the new partnership gives Michigan Blues’ customers, including employer groups looking to keep costs down, the opportunity to incorporate wellness programs into their benefit structure. The platform's tools will be accessible on mobile devices allowing members to take a health assessment or access the digital health assistant on a tablet or mobile phone. In addition, members will have the opportunity to access the digital wellness programs through the bcbsm.com member site anywhere, anytime.

Blue Cross members will have on-demand access to check their coverage, monitor claims activity, and shop for doctors and healthcare services. Some additional wellness programs will be available for groups to purchase to enhance the wellness options for their employees.
