Lori Evans Bernstein, who served as a senior advisor to David Brailer in his stint as the first national coordinator for health information technology, has joined contracting firm GSI Health as president.

After leaving ONC, Evans served as a deputy commissioner in the New York State Department of Health and focused on I.T. issues. She most recently led the provider solutions division of ActiveHealth Management, which insurer Aetna Inc. owns. At GSI Health, Evans will report to CEO LeRoy Jones.

Philadelphia-based GSI Health provides a range of I.T. services and software focusing on the secure exchange of health information. More information is available at gsihealth.com.
