Two software vendors serving behavioral health and human services agencies have announced new I.T. vendor acquisitions.

Netsmart has bought Behavioral Pathway Systems, which offers data analysis and benchmarking software to enable organizations to compare their performance against others and develop best practices. The acquisition is part of a strategy to develop a national service for clinical and operational analytics, and Netsmart also will integrate Behavioral Pathway’s technology with its four electronic health records systems.

The acquisition, terms of which were not disclosed, brings 500 clients to Netsmart and new cross-selling opportunities. All Behavioral Pathways employees will join Netsmart and Paul Lefkovitz, president, will serve as general manager of benchmarking services.

InfoMC has acquired the MyRecoveryPlan peer support Web portal that the Chicago-based Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance developed, for an undisclosed sum.

The portal facilitates creation and monitoring of a recovery plan, social networking, and peer coaching and support. It also offers educational services via text, slideshow and video presentations. Selling MyRecoveryPlan to InfoMC will get the portal out to a broader user base, says Allen Doederlein, president of the alliance.
