Medical content vendor Thomson Reuters has acquired GeneGo, a vendor of bioinformatics data analytics and decision support software for drug research, for an undisclosed sum.
GeneGo sells data mining tools and databases for systems biology. This helps scientists target drug selection and validation, identify biomarkers for specific disease states and support patient profiling in clinical trials, according to the San Diego-based firm.
GeneGo will become part of the Healthcare & Science business of New York-based Thomson Reuters. More information is available at genego.com.
