Quinnipiac University Picks a PACS

Hamden, Conn.-based Quinnipiac University has selected a picture archiving and communications system from CoActiv for its diagnostic imaging educational center. The center offers students in a wide range of imaging-related medical specialties hands-on experience using current technology. The center also provides a focal point for the university’s mummy research project and other non-traditional imaging programs. The Quinnipiac center is part of the university’s educational program for imaging technologists, masters RT students and radiologist assistants as well as for nurses, occupational therapists and other medical professionals who frequently use medical images. In 2012, it will expand to include a radiology training program for the university’s school of medicine.
