New CIO at Cigna

Mark Boxer, who led the e-commerce division of health insurer Cigna from 1996 to 2000, is returning to the company as CIO.


Mark Boxer, who led the e-commerce division of health insurer Cigna from 1996 to 2000, is returning to the company as CIO.

Boxer is succeeding the retiring Philip Emond. He will start on April 25 and work with Emond during a transition period until summer.

Most recently, Boxer has served as group president of government health care for ACS/Xerox, global deputy CIO at Xerox, and CIO at WellPoint.
