The American Medical Association has introduced its second mobile application, a tool to help patients carry and share their medical information.

Called "My Medications," the 99-cent app also enables documentation of allergies, immunizations, emergency contacts, provider contacts and other health information. The medication information can include doses and schedules.

The AMA in May 2011 launched its first mobile app, a reference tool to enable physicians to quickly find appropriate CPT billing codes. It enables decision-tree logic and search options to find codes, track and e-mail selected codes, and to save frequently used codes by location or type of service.

Both apps are compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices and available here.
