HIMSS to Hold a Latin American Conference

The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society is going south, launching the first HIMSS Latin America 2014 Conference and Exhibition, Sept. 18-19 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

HIMSS’ partner in the venture is the Association of Brazilian Healthcare CIOs, known as ABCIS. The event will include a CIO forum, an exhibit hall, live interoperability demonstrations, and educational sessions with a focus on big data and mobile health but also covering other issues.

HIMSS also will introduce a Latin American version of its Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model from HIMSS Analytics. A four-page prospectus of the conference is available here.
