Contractor Harris Corp. will provide a number information technology services under a new contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Melbourne, Fla.-based firm starts with a six-month program valued at $9.6 million with up to five 6-month, separately priced options to follow.

Harris and at least seven subcontractors will enhance six legacy information systems covering financial/administrative transactions, fee basis purchased care, credentialing and privileging, ICD-10 encounter forms, occupational health and safety, and revenue operations.
