Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Both companies serve multiple industries, including health care, and previously had a partnership arrangement.
Fairfax, Va.-based Formatta's software enables aids in capturing and verifying data to update business systems in real-time, and interfacing forms images into content and document management systems for archiving. The technology, for example, enables job candidates and referring physicians to submit forms, data and supporting documents via an organization's Web site, with the information populating pertinent computer systems.
