The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will host a teleconference on Feb. 23 to discuss provisions of the proposed rule to establish the Medicare/Medicaid incentive programs for the meaningful use of electronic health records.
The proposed rule was released in late December and officially published on Jan. 13. CMS will accept public comments until March 15 to be considered as the agency writes a final rule.
Issues being covered in the one-hour teleconference, starting at 1:30 EST, include who is eligible for incentives, what constitutes meaningful use, how to demonstrate meaningful use, available incentives, how to make comments, and where to find additional resources.
The dial-in number is 1-866-501-5502 and the conference ID is 58353012. Materials will be available before the call at cms.hhs.gov/NationalMedicareTrainingProgram/10_Audio_Conference_Training.asp.
