The California Health Information Partnership and Services Organization, the state's largest regional extension center serving all areas except Los Angeles and Orange County, is starting to select its electronic health records vendor partners to offer EHRs through a group purchasing agreement.
The REC has identified eight vendors that it will negotiate with for contracts with standard terms and conditions, and discounted pricing. CalHIPSO has signed its first contract with eClinicalWorks Inc.
Other vendors selected for negotiations include Allscripts, GE Healthcare, Greenway Medical, NextGen, athenahealth, McKesson Practice Partner and e-MDs.
