The annual recognition program from KLAS Research highlights vendor solutions that it rates as the best in various market segments.

The Orem, Utah-based organization says its Best in KLAS program aims to recognize vendors’ “outstanding efforts to help healthcare professionals deliver better patient care.”

The rankings assess vendor solutions that lead software and services market segments “that have the broadest operational and clinical impact on healthcare organizations,” it says.

In this year’s list of honorees, KLAS highlighted Epic, the Verona, Wis.-based company that it named as the top overall vendor for the ninth consecutive year. In addition, it selected Impact Advisors as the No.1 IT services firm, a recognition that it had awarded to Optimum Healthcare IT the past two years.

Premier is the top overall consulting firm and also won a Best in KLAS award for Strategy, Growth and Consolidation Consulting.

Other top awards included Most Improved Software Product for GE Healthcare’s Universal Viewer, and Greenway Health grabbed the top spot as the Most Improved Physician Practice Product for ambulatory practices with 11 to 75 physicians.
