The American Health Information Management Association will host the 2012 Long-Term and Post-Acute Care Health IT Summit, June 18-19 in Baltimore.
Sessions will focus on accelerating development of information technology skills in the long-term workforce, transitioning to patient-centric care, improving care coordination and health information exchange, new payment models heavily dependent on health I.T., certified long-term electronic health records systems, current usage of health I.T. in long-term care, and supporting organizations implementing I.T.
A free pre-summit session on June 17 will cover links between long-term care and meaningful use of EHRs. The summit also includes an exhibit hall and interoperability showcase.
