ADP Acquisition of Asparity Targets Health Benefits Management

Automatic Data Processing, a multibillion dollar business process outsourcing and software company, has acquired Asparity Decision Solutions, a vendor of decision support software and consumer behavioral data analytics services to Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies.

Terms of the acquisition, part of ADP's strategy to expand its services as health care reform accelerates, were not disclosed. The Roseland, N.J.-based company provides human resources, payroll and benefits outsourcing services to thousands of small-and mid-sized physician practices and in March acquired physician software vendor AdvancedMD Software.

Now, ADP is targeting large employers with Durham, N.C.-based Asparity's Web-based employee benefits decision support tools, and data analytics for employers to design more effective benefit strategies. More information is available at asparity.com.
