HDM's Health I.T. Youngbloods Program
Following are profiles of the winners of Health Data Management’s first “Health I.T. Young Bloods” recognition program. The program recognizes the technology accomplishments of clinicians, administrators and I.T. staff in the health care industry who are age 35 years or younger. The Health I.T. Young Bloods program recognizes innovation, accomplishment, and creativity in the deployment and application of health care-related applications and information systems.

The judges were:
• William Hersh, chair of the department of medical informatics and clinical epidemiology at Oregon Health & Science University, Portland;
• Ed Ricks, vice president of information systems and CIO at Beaufort (S.C.) Memorial Hospital; and
• Health Data Management staff: Greg Gillespie, editor in chief; Gary Baldwin, editorial director; and Joseph Goedert, news editor.
