By 2026, software will account for almost half of all big data revenues, according to the 2015 Wikibon Big Data Market Shares Report. Here’s a look at the top players in this segment. This market is dominated by database and application software providers such as SAP SE, Oracle and IBM, which offer software tools that cover nearly every market segment; and Splunk, which leads in the IT operations segment.
