Yardi Buys Long-Term Vendor ALMSA

Property management software vendor Yardi Systems Inc. has acquired ALMSA Corp., which sells electronic health records and electronic medication administration record software to assisted living and long-term care communities.


Property management software vendor Yardi Systems Inc. has acquired ALMSA Corp., which sells electronic health records and electronic medication administration record software to assisted living and long-term care communities.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Santa Barbara, Calif.-based Yardi is a multi-national company with 2,000 employees. Its software manages 8 million residential units, including more than 1,500 senior communities, and 16 billion square feet of commercial space. With ALMSA, Yardi will offer end-to-end Web-based financial and electronic health records software to the long-term care industry, says Bill Southerland, CEO of Eagle, Idaho-based ALMSA.
