Wolters Kluwer Acquires Pharmacy OneSource

Medical information content vendor Wolters Kluwer Health has agreed to acquire Pharmacy OneSource, which provides a range of software applications to hospital pharmacies, for an undisclosed amount.


Medical information content vendor Wolters Kluwer Health has agreed to acquire Pharmacy OneSource, which provides a range of software applications to hospital pharmacies, for an undisclosed amount.

Bellevue, Wash.-based Pharmacy OneSource's products cover clinical documentation and reporting to measure pharmacist interventions, scheduling, compliance and patient safety checklists, medication tracking, formulary management, and drug interaction checking and dosing guidelines, among others.

Philadelphia-based Wolters Kluwer sells point-of-care clinical decision support software for clinicians and retail pharmacies. Acquiring Pharmacy OneSource, with 1,200 clients, will give the company an entrance into the hospital pharmacy market.
