New York-based WebMD Health Corp. has significantly enhanced its Medscape Mobile point of care reference information for clinicians.

The content now includes reference information on more than 3,000 diseases, conditions and procedures, including images, videos and tables available via iPhone or iPod devices. The vendor soon will offer access via Blackberry devices. Drug information has expanded to include more than 1,000 over-the-counter medications, adult and pediatric dosing, adverse effects, and pregnancy and lactation guidelines.
Another enhancement enables the ability to e-mail hospital and physician contact information, including location maps, from the WebMD Health Directory to a patient or colleague. More information is available at webmd.com.
