Vermont Information Technology Leaders Inc., which operates the state's health information exchange, has named additional preferred vendor partners to help physicians achieve meaningful use of electronic health records.

Watertown, Mass.-based athenahealth Inc. is a new preferred EHR partner, joining Allscripts and Fletcher Allen Health Care's PRISM system. VITL also named its first three preferred services partners for planning, implementation and optimization services: North Chelmsford, Mass.-based Concordant Inc.; South Burlington, Vt.-based MBA HealthGroup; and the University of Vermont's Technical Service Partnership.

VITL previously named South Burlington-based SymQuest Group as its first preferred technology services partner for services such as preparing networks for implementation of EHRs and practice management systems.
