Verizon Targets Telemedicine

Basking Ridge, N.J.-based Verizon has partnered with several vendors to offer telemedicine and telehealth services over its telecommunications network.

The company's Telehealth Collaboration Services product line includes video conferencing and data exchange products from Tandberg and Polycom Inc., and networking services from Cisco Systems Inc. and Nortel Networks. The products support traditional telemedicine services, home health and continuing medical education, among other uses.
