Two health information technology vendors serving ambulatory care have announced recent integration alliances.

Athenahealth has certified interoperability of its athenaNet cloud-based suite of software with products from Cerner Corp. The Athenahealth suite includes the electronic health records, practice management, care coordination, patient communication and data analytics software. The integration will ease the exchange of ambulatory and hospital information, according to the vendors.

SuccessEHS has integrated its electronic health records and practice management software with four medical devices from Welch Allyn. They are the Connex ProBP 3400 digital blood pressure device, Connex Integrated Wall System for physical assessment and vital signs documentation, Connex Vital Signs Monitor, and the Spot Vital Signs device. The integration works with version 6.1 of the vendor’s ambulatory products.
