Vendors Align for Tissue Tracking

Chesterfield, Mo.-based Unibased Systems Architecture will integrate into its surgery management software the BiologiCare bone, tissue and other biologic substances tracking software of Mediware Information Systems Inc., Lenexa, Kan.

BiologiCare uses bar code technology to manage the receipt, storage and use of biologic products in surgeries and therapies. This enables hospital personnel to know what products they have, existing quantities, expiration dates, if they were used and the patients who received them.

The multiple modules of BiologiCare can be implemented together or incrementally, and run on a customer's network or remotely hosted.
