Ann Arbor, Mich.-based NovoDynamics, a developer of pattern recognition and analytics technology, has entered into a master collaboration agreement with the University of Michigan Center for Integrative Research in Critical Care.

This collaborative venture will develop technology platforms and applications that combine NovoDynamics intellectual property in advanced pattern recognition, image analysis and data mining with MCIRCC’s multidisciplinary approach to critical illness and injury research.

The two organizations will develop real-time clinical decision support systems driven by adaptive learning algorithms operating on large datasets of patient information including, medical images, real-time biosensor data, laboratory values, patient histories and treatment outcomes. Initial areas of focus include the use of imagery and other patient information to support the treatment of traumatic brain, pelvic and abdominal injuries.
