The health information technology vendor market consolidated a little more in recent days as Mediware Information Systems, Vitera Healthcare Solutions and PaySpan Inc. announced new acquisitions.

Ancillary hospital vendor Mediware expanded its home care product line by acquiring FastTrack Healthcare Systems, which sells home medical equipment and home infusion therapy software. Terms were not disclosed. Mediware picks up 300 new customers and now has more than 700 customers delivering home services.

Ambulatory vendor Vitera added to its product line the electronic health records and physician practice management software of SuccessEHS, which becomes a division of the company. SuccessEHS also offers dental electronic records and imaging software and revenue cycle management products, and expands Vitera’s market share among community health centers. Vitera now has more than 10,500 clients with 415,000 medical professionals including 85,000 physicians, according to the vendor. Terms were not disclosed.

PaySpan, a vendor of automated health care payment services to insurers, has acquired mPay Gateway, which sells point-of-service payment software to providers, for an undisclosed sum. The software aids in collecting out-of-pocket costs at the time of service and can automatically collect any remaining patient responsibility after claims are adjudicated.
