Ambulatory software vendor Sequel Systems Inc. has become the latest company to guarantee its electronic health record application will meet meaningful use requirements under the HITECH Act.
Under its guarantee, the Melville, N.Y.-based vendor will credit customers their monthly support fees during any period in which modifications are being made to the software to meet EHR certification criteria. More information is available at sequelmed.com/stimulus/guarantee.aspx.
Other EHR vendors with guarantees, the terms of which vary but generally include a credit to support fees, include Allscripts, athenahealth, ChartLogic, e-MDs, eClinicalWorks, GE Healthcare, Ingenix, Medsphere Systems, NextGen, Noteworthy Medical, Practice Fusion and SourceMedical.
