The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society will offer vendors at its annual conference next February radio frequency identification technology to track and analyze booth traffic.

Chicago-based HIMSS has teamed with Alliance Tech, an Austin, Texas-based vendor of technology to collect and analyze marketing metrics for tradeshows, conferences and events. The technology will enable exhibitors to understand attendee interests and product preferences by capturing traffic pattern data and such demographics as job function, geography and organization to determine a score for a visitor's buying potential, according to the companies.

HIMSS will sponsor a Web seminar on the technology on Nov. 16. Click here for more information. Exhibitors also can contact Eric Riley for additional details at eriley@alliancetech.com.
