The regional extension center for the District of Columbia has subscribed to the health information technology vendor database services of CapSite, a Burlington, Vt.-based research and advisory firm.

The subscription to information on product pricing and packaging will aid more than 1,000 D.C. providers in planning for, budgeting, negotiating and selecting I.T. applications, particularly electronic health records and health information exchange products. The REC serves more than 1,000 providers.

CapSite's database covers 900 vendors over 130 different health I.T. categories. Providers also will have access to the firm's strategic industry reports with about 20 published each year. More information is available at ehealthdc.org and capsite.com.
