Twenty software vendors serving health insurers will seek certification that their software supports the HEDIS 2013 set of quality measures from the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

HEDIS 2013 will include five new performance measures: asthma medication ratio, diabetes screening for people with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder who are using antipsychotic medications, diabetes monitoring for people with diabetes and schizophrenia, cardiovascular monitoring for people with cardiovascular disease and schizophrenia, and adherence to antipsychotic medications for individuals with schizophrenia.

Vendors can seek full or partial certification in support of HEDIS 2013, as well as the California pay-for-performance program of the Integrated Healthcare Association.

Vendors that will seek certification include: Altegra Health, Citius Tech, Clear Vision Information Systems, Cognizant Technology Solutions, DST Health Solutions, iCareIntelligence, ikaSystems, IMI Health, IMS Health, Innoapp, Inovalon, MEDecision, MedHOK Healthcare, MedVentive, Nagnoi, Peak Health Solutions, Q Mark, Valence Health, Verisk Health and ViPS.
