Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus recently when live with medical device connectivity software from iSirona, Panama City, Fla.

The initiative started with connections of a total of about 700 network-wired patient monitors from GE Healthcare and wireless ventilators from five manufacturers to the medical center's electronic health record from Epic Systems Corp.

The vendor expects thousands of more devices at the medical center to be connected to the EHR. More information is available at isirona.com.
