Carolinas HealthCare System, Charlotte, N.C., will implement the OmniRx automated medication dispensing cabinets of Omnicell Inc.
The delivery system, with 29 affiliated hospitals in North and South Carolina, is a first-time customer of the Mountain View, Calif.-based vendor. Under the contract, deployment of the cabinets will be rolled out over a number of years as leases on former equipment begin to expire.
