Karen DeSalvo, M.D., the new national coordinator for health information technology, has been added to the keynote speaker roster for HIMSS14 in Orlando.

DeSalvo is scheduled to talk at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27,  prior to the keynote address of Marilyn Tavenner, Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Other keynoters during the conference include Aetna CEO Mark Bertolini (8:00 a.m. on Feb. 24), Hillary Clinton (4:30 p.m. on Feb. 26) and Erik Weihenmayer (1:15 p.m. on Feb. 27), a blind adventurer who has climbed the highest mountain on all seven continents, among other achievements.
