Diagnostic software vendor Aspyra Inc. has promoted Ademola Lawal to CEO, succeeding Rodney Schutt. Lawal previously served as COO.

Schutt resigned to pursue other opportunities, according to the Westlake Village, Calif.-based vendor. "Mr. Schutt's decision to resign did not arise or result from any disagreement with the company on matters relating to the company's operations, policies or practices," the vendor said in a document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Aspyra sells laboratory, anatomic pathology, radiology, and picture archiving and communication systems. The company recently voluntarily delisted its stock from the NYSE Amex Exchange after the value fell well below the $1 minimum bid price. The company trades on the Pink Sheets with a price of around 10 cents per share. During the first nine months of 2009, Aspyra lost $4.6 million, compared with a $3.1 million loss during the same period a year ago. Nine-month revenue fell nearly 12% to $5.9 million.
