The Premier provider alliance has integrated its suite of databases to support PremierConnect, a new data analytics and sharing platform for members, including more than 100,000 clinicians.

The initiative, out of pilot and now in a rollout phase, is designed to support care collaboration for accountable care organizations and other emerging treatment and payment programs. PremierConnect has integrated the organization’s clinical, financial and operational comparative analysis databases that have data on about 25 percent of patient admissions and nearly $43 billion in purchasing data.

The new platform will continuously pull data from electronic health records in more than 300 hospitals. PremierConnect will enable an organization to access all of its own clinical data, access aggregate benchmark data from the analysis databases, and connect to virtual provider communities from a dashboard.
