Thomson Reuters has introduced dashboard technology to capture, report and analyze hospital infection data.

The product, called Infection Xpert, enables automated surveillance of real-time clinical data to identify patients with a new infection or at risk for infection, according to the New York-based vendor.

The application presents a single view of such data as critical lab values, medication lists, vital signs and microbiology reports. It also uses a library of clinical decision support rules from Micromedex.

More information is available at clinicalxpert.com/infection. Thomson Reuters in June announced its intention to divest its health care operations. The company will use the proceeds to invest in its core markets including legal, tax and accounting, science and intellectual property, financial services, and media.
