N. Carolina Gov’t Adopts Analytics

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services will implement a data warehouse to collect and analyze health care data on 1.8 million beneficiaries.


The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services will implement a data warehouse to collect and analyze health care data on 1.8 million beneficiaries.

The data warehouse will sit on a platform from Redwood Shores, Calif.-based Oracle Corp., using data analytics and reporting technologies from SAS Institute Inc., Cary, N.C.; and Thomson Reuters, Ann Arbor, Mich.

The state department will use the health care reporting and analytics system to manage such programs as Medicaid, mental health, substance abuse and public health.
