The North Idaho Health Network, a health information exchange serving five hospitals and 305 physicians in five northern counties, will use the HIE platform technology of MobileMD Inc., Yardley, Pa.
Transactions to be offered via the Coeur D'Alene-based HIE include lab and imaging results, orders, continuity of care documents and medication histories, among other information.
The HIE will transmit data into physicians' electronic health records systems. Practices that don't yet have an EHR will access pertinent patient data via a Web portal. The North Idaho Health Network also will link to the Idaho Health Data Exchange and HIEs in eastern Washington. More information is available at nihn.net.
