Mediware Gets More Military Health Business

The Military Health System will implement blood transfusion management software from Mediware Information Systems Inc. in 68 facilities worldwide.

The contract follows the military's implementation of Mediware's blood donor records and blood product inventory management applications in 28 donor facilities. The transfusion system, used in about 350 hospitals, enables more than 60 checks to ensure proper administration. The Military Health System also will use the vendor's related compliance management and training application.
