Provider organizations are losing faith in their health information exchange vendors, a survey of 200 providers by research firm KLAS Enterprises reveals.

In a report highlighting 11 vendors with 80 percent of the market share, only Cerner Corp.’s customer satisfaction scores increased during the past year, according to KLAS. Among other provider concerns, they seek improved HIE connectivity to electronic health records, data aggregation and analytics capabilities, and better support of industry standards and EHR meaningful use.

Vendors in the report include Caradigm, Cerner, dbMotion, eClinicalWorks, Epic, ICA, Medicity, MobileMD, Orion Health, OptumInsight, RelayHealth and Siemens, among others. The report, “Health Information Exchange 2012: Muddled in the Interfaces,” is available to providers for $980, and to others for $12,980, at klasresearch.com/reports.
