A new report from vendor research firm KLAS Enterprises examines provider satisfaction with health information technology consulting firms.

Most of the firms received high marks from customers, but analysis of their engagements shows differences in cost, tools and methodology, the actual deliverable, and knowledge and quality of their talent pools, says Lorin Bird, a research director at KLAS and report author.

Computer Sciences Corp., Deloitte and Dell have the greatest depth and breadth of engagement, offering services in nearly all of nine considered segments. Other firms mentioned in the report include Accenture, ACS, Aspen Advisors, Cerner, Courtyard Group, Cumberland, Encore, Hayes Management, IBM, Impact Advisors, Ingenix, KSA, Peer Consulting, Phoenix Health Systems, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Vitalize Consulting Solutions.

The report, "Advisory Services: Navigating the Maze of Performance and Choice," is available for purchase at klasresearch.com/reports.
