The National Quality Forum has named Rosemary Kennedy as vice president for health information technology, as the organization expands its use of I.T. as a quality and safety tool.

Kennedy comes to NQF from Siemens, where she was chief nursing informatics officer for nearly seven years. She previously worked in senior I.T. positions at Franciscan Health System and Shared Medical Systems, now part of Siemens.

Among other duties, Kennedy will oversee work to implement new versions of NQF's Quality Data Model and enhancements to measure-authoring software designed to build standardized electronic measures.
