Interpreting Service Goes Mobile

LanguageLine Solutions, a vendor of on-demand telephone translating services, now is offering video services on mobile computing devices.

The Monterey, Calif.-based company, previously known as Language Line Services, has launched LanguageU on various tablets and smartphones. The mobile video service initially supports five languages--American Sign Language, Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin and Vietnamese--with more being added on a continuous basis, according to the vendor.

The mobile service also is available for audio-only interpretation in more than 200 languages. More information and PC/MAC downloads of the mobile app are available here.
