Intelerad adds Clario to support efficient radiologist workflows
Intelerad Medical Systems is acquiring Clario Medical with intentions of offering providers interoperable medical diagnostic solutions.
The companies announced the acquisition on Sunday, in advance of the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America in Chicago. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Intelerad develops enterprise workflow solutions, while Clario is a “zero footprint” worklist company. Plans are for development of a combined product expected to augment Intelerad’s enterprise imaging solutions with Clario’s zero footprint worklist, in an effort to better meet the needs of radiology practices and health systems.
“Our vision is to free up health systems and radiology practices from the limitations of legacy imaging IT systems, and provide modern, secure and highly scalable cloud-based solutions,” says François Laflamme, chairman of the board of Intelerad, “We are excited about the prospect of rapidly expanding our zero footprint capabilities towards a fully cloud-based radiology workstation with the Clario solutions. For the providers that are looking for a modular approach, we will continue to evolve and offer Clario’s universal worklist as a vendor-neutral platform.”
“We have been working with both companies as a radiology group client as well as a reseller partner for multiple years,” says Worth Saunders, CEO of Greensboro Radiology and CEO of Canopy Partners. “The combination of Intelerad’s workflow and diagnostic solutions with Clario’s worklist has allowed us and our clients to manage workflow more efficiently and intelligently.”
Intelerad offers radiological solutions for image viewing and storage intended to increase productivity and streamline workflow by overcoming technical barriers in distributed and complex environments.
