Illinois rural consortium building ACO, buys new tools

The Illinois Rural Community Care Organization is building a comprehensive accountable care organization and will use a suite of software from RoundingWell. The technology includes care management, patient engagement and patient education software, along with targeted assessments of patients. The ACO will cover 24 critical access and rural hospitals, 35 rural clinics and 14 independent physician practices to support providing care to more than 24,000 Medicare beneficiaries. The ACO further will use standardized protocols for engaging and coordinating care for high-risk patients.

NorthShore University Health System in Chicago will implement a platform from Phynd Technologies to manage and maintain the accuracy of its provider dictionary covering about 20,000 providers across four hospitals. Valley Children’s Healthcare in Madera, Calif., also has contracted for the platform to manage about 5,000 providers.

Our Children Our Future, a behavioral healthcare organization serving South Florida with a focus on those affected by parental substance abuse or mental illness, will implement the electronic health record and practice management software of TenEleven Group, which serves health and human services agencies. Our Children Our Future sought tools to streamline workflow and simplify compliance with Florida regulations and colleagues at other agencies recommend TenEleven, says CEO Veronica James.

Allscripts has new business in the United Kingdom, as the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust’s three hospitals move toward becoming fully digital facilities. The trust has been using Allscripts’ patient administration system and now will add the Sunrise electronic health record and the dbMotion interoperability software to better serve its 450,000 patient population.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for 17 years has used the InterQual Criteria of McKesson Health Solutions. The length of the new deal was not immediately disclosed.
