Casa Grande (Ariz.) Regional Medical Center is offering its 3,000 employees and dependents online consultations with emergency physicians to address common, minor medical conditions.
The 187-bed community hospital has contracted with Stat Health Services, which launched in November. Employers or insurers pay Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company a fee for each enrolled member. A consultation costs $50, which the employer/insurer may pay in whole or split with the member. Casa Grande will pay the consultation fee for its employees.
Consultations are conducted via phone, the phone and a Web site connection, or via Web cams. Prescriptions if needed are electronically sent to the patient's pharmacy of choice. More information is available at casagrandehospital.com and statdoctors.com.
