The National eHealth Collaborative, a federally funded, public-private industry stakeholder advocacyorganization, is seeking new board members.

The National eHealth Collaborative, a federally funded, public-private industry stakeholder advocacyorganization, is seeking new board members.

Washington-based NeHC focuses on stakeholder education, consumer outreach and the study of sustainable health information exchanges. Health and Human Services Secretary Michael Leavitt in 2005 created the American Health Information Community to advise federal officials on issues related to developing a national health information network. The organization changed its name and focus after the HITECH Act authorized creation of two new advisory bodies--the HIT Policy and Standards Committees.

Stakeholders may self-nominate or recommend a colleague for board membership by completing an online form by Oct. 28. More information on the organization is available at nationalehealth.org.
