HIEs to Share Platform
The CareAlign health information exchange platform in use at the MidSouth eHealth Alliance serving the greater Memphis region now will be expanded to also be the platform for Middle Tennessee eHealth Connect, a Nashville HIE.
The CareAlign health information exchange platform in use at the MidSouth eHealth Alliance serving the greater Memphis region now will be expanded to also be the platform for Middle Tennessee eHealth Connect, a Nashville HIE.
Nashville-based Informatics Corporation of America is the vendor. The HIEs will maintain community autonomy on the platform but sharing the system will ease data exchange.
Leveraging Memphis' HIE technology and lessons learned will accelerate the implementation process for Nashville, says Larry Kloess, chair of the MTeHC board and president of HCA TriStar Health system.
