TELUS a year ago licensed the HealthVault platform of Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft Corp. to be used in Canada. In addition to a PHR, the platform includes online tools supporting health and wellness programs, chronic disease management, medical reference content and home monitoring functions, among other services.

The product is being marketed in Canada under the name "TELUS health space" and is the first international deployment of HealthVault.
